Since May 25, 2020, the George Floyd Movement has both gained global recognition and is inspiring millions to physically and virtually protest. Despite the empowering movement, people are still criticizing others on how to protest, people are still racial gaslighting left right, people are still holding onto their belief that racism doesn’t exist, and all the other eye-rolling, crazy stuff in between.
At the end of the day, what matters most is that we continue to be allies of black people and help others understand that all lives matter until black lives matter. To get there, we first need to educate ourselves before we start teaching others.
Below, we have started a list of movies, videos, books, readings, black leaders, and other resources for people of all ages and color to learn about Black History, Anti-Racism, Black Lives Matter, and how to overall become a better ally. It is definitely not a complete list, so please note that this list will continue to be updated indefinitely. With that being said, we would like to invite everyone to comment, email, or reach out to us on social media with your personal recommendations and we would be more than happy to add them.
Please explore the list and we hope you continue to #BecomeABetterAlly:
